Official reception of opening of a new space for the Clement Gallery which settles in an old house from the 17th century entirely restored.
The gallery I imagine is first of all a place where we have the possibility of taking time for oneself. A place to sit down, look, dream, read books... and to discover other artistic worlds.
I am very moved to be with you all, with the middle of these painters who have deposed part of their country on these paintings.
This exhibition has been thought differently. We have looked for paintings of exceptions. All the painters presented belong to the reference of this movement.
The Country represents the roots of the Ampilatwatja. The landscape in subtle dotes describes each specific place whose artist is the guaranteeing one and the owner.
The country and all the various medicinal plants or food of the bush are also represented in each painting. These information offers a map of the country. Each artist carries out a fragment of only a large chart. That these paintings represent sumptuous landscapes, lines of the Dream or Tingari circles, all refers to the country, with the grounds of origins.
The artistic inspiration comes from the nature and the deep understanding which the artist has of the ground on which he walks.
