Description

Result of a four month trip in the Central Desert, here is the glance of three groups of painters.

A lot of different Dreamings, but always the pictorial power of a thousand-year-old culture.

First the men, Dr George Takata Tjapaltjarri, Willy Tjungarrayi, Wallala Tjapaltjarri et Andrew Spencer Tjapaltjarri. The tribal world often separates the men from the women. In Aboriginal culture, a second parallel comes trough, the totemic ancestor. It is therefore possible for groups to have men and women bound by same the totem.

Kathleen and Polly Kngale - abstract interpretation of their Country. It is the Dreaming of the Bush Plum.

And the Ampilatwatja who teach us that one can reformulate a language, to decide to tell his past, its present and its habits with character. Modernity, it is also to conserve your traditions.
