Géorgian, born in 1961 in Tbilissi.
As a kid, Zurab paints and loves sculpture. In 1975, he enters his first Art school, in Tbilissi. He is 14 years old, it's a passion.

1980 Ends his studies in the ArtSchool : Art Yakob Nikoladze - Tbilissi, Georgia. This school makes of him a restorer and gives him the right to teach.

1985 - 1991 Receives from the city a grant to study at the Fine Art School of Tbilissi. Puts on his first exhibitions. Wins the first price of this Academy and become a painter officially recognized.

1987 Exhibition of young georgian artists - Prague, Tchequia. First exhibition overseas. Start of an international career.

1990 A big contest is organised by the Art Schools of several countries as France, Italy, Germany, Tunisia, Maroco and Spain. The winners of each country are invited in 1991 at the collective exhibition of Gibellina in Italy. As Georgia is not part of this association, Zurab is guest of honor for the quality of his work. This exhibition is still on today at the same place. His founder is, Achile Bonito Oliva, art critic world-recognized. The coordinators of this exhibition are, Francesco Messina - Carla Accardi - Markus Lupertz, superintendent of the Fine Art School of Dusseldorf, Germany.

1991 Collective exhibition, Gibellina, Italy. Collective exhibition, Central Hausa of Artists - Moscou, Russia. During this exhibition, Mr Victor Goubin, big art collector in Russia, buys twenty of his painting for his personal collection.

1993 Collective exhibition, Galerie Outsider - Moscou, Russia.

1995 Personal exhibition, Central Housa of Artists - Moscou, Russia.

1996 Exhibition, International Art Fair « ART-MANEGE » - Moscou, Russia.

1998 Exhibition,  Art Salon - Moscou, Russia. Exhibition, Salon International Art Fair, « ART-MANEGE » - Moscou, Russia. Collective exhibition, Art Gastronomia - Velletri, Italy.

1999 Collective exhibition, Gallery Na Maliy Vlasevskiy - Moscou, Russia.

2001 Collective exhibition, Galerie MASTER - Moscou, Russia. Exhibit at International Art Fair « ART-MANEGE » - Moscou, Russia.

2002 Collective exhibition, AMADEUS GALLERY - London, Great-Britain. Zurab exhibits near Mr Belle and Konstantin Sutiagin, russian well known painters. He sells all his paintings. Collective exhibition, Galerie MASTER - Moscou, Russia.

2003  Exhibit at Artexpo New York 2003 - New York, U.S.A. Zurab is not able to go there personally, due to a lack of visa, but his paintings receive a great success. Collective exhibition, Galerie Clement - Vevey, Switzerland.

2004-2005 Zurab takes the time to recover from important health problems, but continues to paint. He is preparing the next exhibition of Switzerland.

The painting of Zurab is subtle, he has become a master in revisiting every element of our today life with his eye, his art line and technique that he knows so well. The important for Zurab is not to innovate, but to rephrase. He does not forget his origins, but accepts to converse with Occident. His « Natures mortes » are vertiginous; each painting is the result of a reflection, of a commitment.

Zurab : « My sickness enables me to reform my eye on the living necessities. This eye translates in a painting made of emotions taken on the spot, therefore full of spontaneity. »
