Minnie Pwerle
In the enigmatic region of Utopia the ceremonial body painting is not to seen the same way as the others do.
It starts from the relation with the country whilst the writing passes by the body. The ceremony is the way, the painting is the vibration.
At first there was the great painter Emily Kame. Then, when Emily passed away, her sister Minnie Pwerle, at the age of 80, took the brush to express the Dreaming.
March 2006, Minnie passed away. Today, her daughter, Betty Mbitjana 54 takes on the responsibility of the Dreaming.
